Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday! A great big thanks to everyone who stopped by last week to comment! Another snippet from A Second Chance at Forever. We're in the same the same scene, but a little further along. New chapter and we get to see things from Alex's point of view.
Whatever fury he’d gone into the bathroom with drained from him, a wave of regret taking its place. Swearing under his breath, Alex sank onto the edge of the bed.
“You’re my best friend’s kid sister, Ang. I’ve known you since you were eight.” He ducked his head, dragged his hands through his hair with all the frustration winding through him. “Christ, if your brother finds out, he’ll have my hide.”

A difficult situation and a great emotional snippet.
ReplyDeleteuh-oh! Great ramping up of tension!
ReplyDeleteGreat tension. Awkward situation. And maybe hell to pay. Great six!
ReplyDeleteBest friend's sister or not, I'm sure things are going to proceed. I like these two characters, can't wait to read MORE. Terrific snippet!
ReplyDeleteHa! What a great conflict... the best friend's little sister! Somehow, I think they're going to figure it out! Great six!
ReplyDeletePoor guy. Somehow I think Alex will get over his conflict. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBrothers can be such a pain sometimes! Grrrr... At least he's not rejecting her.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written emotion.
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot. You give us an awful lot without a lot of words -- a flash of emotion, a hint of their relationship, a sense of the conflict. Nicely done.
