Six Sentence Sunday

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday! I want to thank everybody who stops by and leaves a comment. It's always very much appreciated. :)

I couldn't decide what to post today, so I've decided to continue with the same scene, though I've skipped a paragraph of introspection. This book is the sequel to my upcoming release, A Second Chance at Forever (still no release date yet), and I've officially decided to title it, Love's Healing Touch.

“There’s lot of things I’d like to say to you. Like go to hell.” She took a step back and shoved the door, intending to slam it in his face, but Colt’s hand stopped its momentum halfway closed.

Shoulders stiff, jaw set tight, Colt stepped forward, crossing the threshold into what counted as the foyer of her apartment, merely a three-by-five hallway and a slip of vinyl flooring. His brow furrowed, his eyes boring holes through her. “How the hell could you not tell me you were pregnant?”

Six Sentence Sunday

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday! Thanks to everyone who stops by to leave a comment. As always, the comments are welcome and appreciated!

I've decided to keep with the scene I started last week. I had a heck of a time remembering if this was a snippet I'd posted yet or not. I've searched and I can't find it, so, crossing my fingers I haven't. This part of the original scene that eventually made it into the revision, because I liked it. The description of the hero as seen through the heroine's eyes. This picks up right where last week's left off.
He stood leaning a shoulder against the door frame, arms folded across his chest. God, he hadn’t changed a bit. He towered over her; the top of her head barely reached his shoulder. He’d spent the last twenty years in the United States Army and every inch of him was honed to perfection. His white T-shirt clung to his upper torso like a second skin, showcasing the well-defined muscle that lay beneath. His faded jeans hugged his lean hips and muscular thighs, metal identification tags hanging on a chain around his neck.

Six Sentence Sunday

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday! Thanks again to everyone who stops by each week! All comments are welcome and appreciated!

I couldn't decide what to post this week, but I just completed my current WIP and decided to take this week's six from it. I got about three quarters through this thing and got stuck. It took me a while to realize that I was stuck because the beginning I'd written no longer meshed with where the book had ended up. So I had to revise the first four chapters. I love where the new beginning ended up, so I've decided to share that.
“Anything you’d like to say to me?”

Stacy Bennett froze solid in her apartment doorway. On the other side of the threshold stood the last man on earth she wanted to see. He was also the one person she could never escape. Every time she looked into the beautiful face of her five year old son, she saw him staring back at her.

Colt Taylor.

The six sentence requirement makes for an awkward stopping point. I'll post more next week! Don't forget to stop by the Six Sunday website and take a gander at all the other fabulous snippets!

Six Sentence Sunday

Hello and welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday! I'd like to thank everyone who came by last week and left a comment. You were all very encouraging and it was greatly appreciated!

I had the hardest time deciding on what to pick for this week. Choosing only six sentences is so hard! Does it take anybody else hours to do this?! I changed my mind three times just since I started writing this blog. lol

So, I decided to continue with the same scene as last week. BUT...I skipped to the end of the scene. As I'm sure some of you have guessed, this scene leads into a love scene, and, so as not to offend anyone, I've skipped the dirty deed. This is part of the "aftermath."
When his breathing returned to normal, he lifted his head and brushed a lingering kiss across her mouth, so tender tears welled in her eyes. There in the deep blue pools she saw a glimpse of the man she’d fallen in love with, in the soft vulnerability glimmering back at her. As if he laid himself bare before her and dared her to see it. It stunned her, seeped inside. She hadn’t seen this side of him in a very long time. Not since their honeymoon, and heaven help her, but her heart took it and refused to let it go.
